How to Play Rugby

How to Play Rugby

I am going to teach you how to play rugby.

Rugby is physical and famous all around the world. The first rugby game was ever was played in 1823. As a fact I play rugby myself. To me rugby is the best sport in the world. I play for a team named Norths. My favourite of all time rugby player is Greg Inglis. He plays for a team named Rabbitohs which is my favourite team too.

Rugby is a pretty hard game to understand. The aim is to get the ball to the other team's goal line and put it down over it. To stop that from happening you have to tackle the person with the ball. When you score that is 5 points and a conversion is 2 points. If you get a penalty you have 3 choices to pick out of. They are scrum, tap, or a penalty kick that = 3 points if you get it in between the posts.

The rules of rugby are pretty hard but you will get there. One of them is trying not to drop the ball forward or it will be a scrum. A scrum is when you have 8 people pushing each other to get the ball. Another one is a lineout. A lineout is when the hooker throws the ball into the other forwards. When you catch it in the 22 mark you can call it are mark so they can’t touch you until the referee blows the whistle.

Now you know how to play rugby try it out.
